It’s time for a mid year update 🙂 We’ve been extremely busy in the first half of 2017 increasing our brand awareness. This has included redeveloping our entire website from scratch and working with SEO specialists to ensure we are as visible as possible. We’re ranking pretty well now with the most popular terms including Indian Wedding and Bhangra Music Djs in and around Birmingham, Solihull and The Midlands. Once we’ve cracked this, we’ll start to expand our focus nationally. We understand that no matter the skill or charisma of the DJ performing at your event, the brand name on stage is equally important as this just adds to the hype! Our Instagram, Snapchat and Facebook pages have all been updated with a dedicated YouTube channel in the works. I am looking for a talented videographer to join our team to ensure our events are documented for promotional use. If this is you or you know an up and coming person with the tools to deliver, please email amo@ultamo.co.uk.
In other developments our backend processes have been updated following a review of our booking process. You’ll notice these refinements when you come to speaking to one of our trained booking experts.
The summer season for 2017 is pretty much booked up now with just a few dates remaining so it’s time to look forward to 2018. As always we’ll be looking out for the latest trends as well as setting our own. Each event is unique and deserves a considerable degree of planning to ensure it goes as smoothly as possible. We mix your creative input with ours to perfect that once in a lifetime event. So whether you’re looking for a dj, dhol player or bhangra group for your wedding, chunni, jago, birthday, anniversary or any other special occasion, get in touch and we’ll work together with the objective of making the most memorable.
What about new music? Have you been keeping up to date? Without doubt the number one smash of the summer is sure to from (the guy who just seems to sing about drinking) Sharry Mann – it’s ‘Hostel’…a perfect chaser following his banger ‘3 Peg’. Looking elsewhere, having completed the game in the Punjab and making Sikhs proud everywhere, Diljit Dosanjh is making major moves in Bollywood. No doubt he will set another trend and make this sound more accessible during Punjabi parties starting with ‘Move Your Lak.’ Jasmine Sandlas is representing the women strongly at the moment and her following is growing by the hit. ‘Bomb Jatt’ and now ‘Punjabi Mutiyaran’ is making a real impact on dancefloors. The sounds of the Punjab and Canada are really on top at the moment and have been for a couple of years. As someone who grew up supporting and listening to UK bhangra, I’m looking forward to the UK industry trying to take things back or at least level the playing field somewhat. Major ground has been lost in the UK vs Punjab Bhangra wars. From a fusion perspective, Ed Sheeran, Stormzy & especially Drake are the obvious crossover artists at the moment.
With all that being said have a great summer and don’t forget to keep it loud ’n fresh!
